An SSD is one of the easiest ways to improve game loading and system responsiveness, but the fastest benchmark number does not always produce a visible gameplay difference. Capacity, sustained behavior, warranty and platform compatibility deserve equal attention.
NVMe versus SATA
NVMe drives use PCIe and can deliver much higher sequential throughput than SATA SSDs. Games with heavy asset streaming may benefit, but many loading tasks also depend on CPU decompression and game design.
Moving from a hard drive to any good SSD is usually more dramatic than moving between two modern SSD tiers.
